Enjoy the beauty of this weekend while you can...by the end of the week, the western NC Piedmont will be seeing some powerful wind and rain. Tropical storms often give us actual white caps on the lake, not to mention incredible rains, wind and thunder.
In the spirit of enjoying the lake while the sun shines, here (in my photos to the right) is our neighborhood great blue heron sitting on our dock roof, while a boat goes by in the background.
